Free, On-site Parking

We offer free parking in the heart of Uptown Waterloo for our clients. Our parking lot offers accessible spots with ramp access and automatic office doors. If you decide to cycle, we have a secure location at the front of our office to lock your bike. Our office has 24/7 security camera monitoring to discourage theft and damage.

  • Yes, we offer direct billing for certain insurance companies. Our administrative staff will be happy to assist with your billing needs.

  • No! Anyone can shop at Insight Eye Care, in-person or online.

  • Yes! You can bring your own prescription when shopping. Just be sure it is up to date.

  • It depends on the brand. Most glasses are ready in 2-4 weeks.

  • Yes! We offer a full online shopping experience at shopinsight.ca.

  • We offer glasses to fit most budgets, starting from as low as $200. Our team is happy to help you find a pair of glasses that suits your visual needs, and your budget.

  • A comprehensive routine eye exam costs $167. Specialized care has additional costs. Remember, eligible seniors (ages 65+) and children (ages 0-19) can receive routine eye exams covered by OHIP.

  • Adults without eye complications should have a comprehensive exam every 2 years. If you have a specific problem, don't hesitate to reach out sooner to address your issues.

  • Annual eye examinations are covered through OHIP for all eligible children ages 0-19. After having their eye exam at our office, all children registered in junior or senior kindergarten who require glasses are eligible for free prescription glasses through the Ontario Association of Optometrists Eye See Eye Learn (ESEL) program.

  • Annual eye exams (covered by OHIP) are recommended for children ages 19 and under. Your optometrist may recommend more frequent visits if they are monitoring or treating a condition.

  • You can call the office or go online to order a supply, or book an appointment if you feel you need a change.

  • Yes, eye health is more than vision correction. Regular eye examinations check both your vision and other eye health issues, like macular degeneration, glaucoma, retinal health, and screen fatigue.
